Kick off the holiday season this weekend with ten local artists/crafters showing at two locations on Joy Road. Join me, Stacey Alysa, and six of the artists at the Joy Ridge Ranch Barn for all of the magic and bling of the season, without the hype, the plastic or the crowds.
At the Barn – 2502 Joy Road
Stacey Alysa Fused Glass & Gemstone Jewelry: fused glass art, boxes, earrings, mezuzahs, and dishes, pearl, amethyst, iolite & pearl necklaces and earrings. Theresa Joyce of Twig Art and Garden delights with her whimsical cards, prints, ornaments, terrariums, and journals. Linda Sauter & Maralee Wisewomyn present a diverse assortment of whimsical and practical handmade treasures including kelp baskets, up-cycled chicken feed tote bags, ornaments, felt animals, and kelp rattles. Don’t miss T.J. Austria‘s knit hats, gloves, socks & eclectic animals (surely someone on your list needs a knit praying mantis?). Check out Aaron Poovey‘s sculptures and stone pendants; Joe Mercieca‘s rustic furniture; and the kid’s zone. See the slideshow below for a preview. Free face painting by Cindy Conway, story time and a Creation Station for fun beading.
We’re expecting a very special guest from the North pole on Saturday. Ho, ho, ho! Join the elves to wish in the Dream room, gawk at the vintage decorations and enjoy tea and cookies.
In honor of the 10th anniversary we’ve giving away ten door prizes.
At the Red Schoolhouse Gallery – 2400 Joy Road
Susan St. Thomas transforms her historic 100+ year old home into an art gallery featuring her mixed media paintings and prints; quilted bags and crocheted rugs by Michele Holland; and silk clothing by Anne Howson. Walk the labyrinth on the property while you’re there.
